POSITION MISSION Responsible for full cycle Accounts Payable and Receivable along with general accounting administrative tasks.
Safeguard the assets of the company by ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all financial transactions.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Accounts Payable Receiving, coding, and verifying all invoices for accuracy and completeness Entering all invoices into Sage Intacct for payment Prepare and print weekly check run Manage vendor master files Manage W9's through the preparation of 1099's Investigate and respond to vendor inquiries Reconcile American Express charges weekly Verify and process expense reports in accordance with published schedule Accounts Receivable Reconcile and record daily cash receipts Prepare wire transfers and intercompany transfers Prepare in-house notices Process client invoices as directed by the performance management, communications, and merchandise departments Using the information on the admin summary report supplied by the program managers, ensure invoices are entered to the correct program number and general ledger account by referring to the Product Accounting grid Run accounts receivable aging weekly and follow up on any invoices aged 30 days are more.
Distribute accounts receivable aging, with notes, to the CEO and Vice President of Finance weekly Other Functions Prepare sales tax returns as per state requirements Keep general accounting filing up to date and organized Setup projects in Sage Intacct for PreSales SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS 3-5 years accounting experience, with emphasis in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Privately held environment Service industry College coursework General software knowledge Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Outlook, Office 365, Teams Presentation software Sage Intacct CANDIDATE PROFILE AND COMPETENCIES Willingness to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues Strong written and oral communication skills Strong organizational skills Outstanding customer service Excellent problem-solving skills and an eye for detail Effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines Excellent use of judgment and discretion Preferred location for position is Traverse City, MI but open to location being in Schaumburg, IL If you are committed to professional excellence, we want to hear from you.
