Summary:
The PCMH and Quality Specialist for Novello Physician Organization helps provide operations process and quality data support to physician practices using the Patient Centered Medical Home Neighborhood model for high quality, low-cost care.
Working with insurers as a practice advocate, this specialist ensures practices' work is recognized and rewarded.
Responsible To:
The PCMH and Quality Specialist reports to the Manager of Quality and may also take direction from the Director of Operations.
Essential Functions Works with practices to implement and improve PCMH processes utilizing standard process improvement techniques Utilize data and data software to identify opportunities for improvement and work to drive improvement Support various committees and user groups Identify process issues and help research/develop best practices Utilize written and verbal communications effectively Subject Matter Expert on PCMH processes Meet insurer requirements for reporting and incentive requirements Other duties as needed and as new products/opportunities identified Supervisory Responsibility None Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, computer applications, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Visits to physician offices part of the expected duties.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, and typical hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:
00 a.
m.
to 5:
00 p.
m.
eastern time.
Additional morning, evening, and weekend work will be required as job duties demand.
Travel Travel when needed is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Associate Degree, with provider office experience, including PCMH.
Specific experience in medical office operations and/or process improvement techniques.
Proficient in clinical data analysis, process mapping, and Microsoft Office software.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and work effectively within a diverse community.
Ability to learn and master new software tools.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, Medical, or other fields.
2 years of process improvement work, preferably in the healthcare industry.
