Answering phones and greeting visitors and clients Managing prospective client lead process/flow, including scheduling appointments, sending initial documents to clients, and following up Preparing case files for attorneys, and maintaining files in an organized fashion Managing calendar and appointment schedules, including reminders to clients and attorneys for hearings, ensuring all appointment information is communicated (i.
e.
time, date, zoom or in person, zoom meeting ID is available to all, etc.
) Preparing communications, such as memos, emails, and other correspondence Calls to court to follow up on filings, request documents, or otherwise Creating and maintaining filing systems, both electronic and physical Trial preparation assistance, such as copying and compiling exhibits (in paper or electronically), distributing exhibits, following up with witnesses to ensure attendance/receipt of subpoenas/and communicating appearance instructions (zoom, in person, etc).
Other special projects Required skills:
good written and verbal communication skills organized manage time well dependable attention to detail self-starter and problem solver proficient in the use of Quickbooks Desktop / Quickbooks online, and Microsoft Office Suite (word, outlook, etc.
) Prior experience in a law office is not required, but would be beneficial.
Compensation is $17 to $20 per hour, commensurate with experience.
This position is part-time, approximately 25 to 30 hours per week.
There is opportunity for growth and full-time for the right candidate.
Must love dogs as we have an office dog - occasionally some assistance will be needed with him as well when attorneys are at hearings or other appointments.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
