The OR Aide is highly adaptable to a fast-paced environment, demonstrates quality care and validates the Center's mission and vision.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Prepare operating rooms at the beginning and end of each day Perform room turnover in between surgical cases, including cleaning table surfaces, mopping floors, waste disposal and transporting case carts to central processing department (CPD) Gather equipment and supplies for surgical cases Return or dispose equipment and supplies properly Retrieve stretchers for the operating rooms Handle and dispose of waste materials, including bodily fluids and blood, properly Stock operation rooms, anesthesia carts, linen carts, blanket warmers and scrub sink supplies Assist in patient transfer from OR beds to stretchers Maintain clean and safe working environment Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines Participate in staff meetings and applicable education/training Perform additional responsibilities as needed KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES Service orientation - actively looking for ways to help people Judgment and decision-making:
