Position Description:
We are looking for a Traffic Engineer to join our Transportation team to improve infrastructure in our Michigan or Ohio offices.
Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
Two or more years of experience in transportation and/or roadway related design projects is required, as is two to ten years of related experience in traffic engineering and/or transportation planning.
A professional license, or the ability to obtain one, is required.
Knowledge of Synchro, Microstation and/or AutoCad design software is required.
Excellent technical writing, organization and communication skills are essential.
Candidates must be self-motivated and able to work well with others.
A flexible hybrid-remote/office work schedule is available.
Typical responsibilities include:
Prepare traffic impact studies and intersection capacity analyses utilizing the latest software programs such as Synchro, SimTraffic, and/or VISSIM Perform safety analyses including analyzing crash data, identifying safety deficiencies, and recommending mitigation measures Collaborate with other disciplines on multimodal transportation infrastructure planning and design, and implement Complete Streets guidance on projects Design traffic control measures such as multimodal signing, pavement markings, and maintenance of traffic plans Design traffic signals for Michigan/Ohio DOT and local agencies, including signal layouts, wiring diagrams, utility coordination, and plan preparation Perform site reviews, field data collection, and prepare summaries and evaluations of data.
Prepare reports and technical memos Assist with a wide variety of projects including corridor projects, intersection improvements, commercial and industrial site development, and other transportation infrastructure.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
