Human Resources Generalist The Human Resources (HR) Generalist is responsible for overseeing and performing the human resources functions of the Company, while ensuring that those functions are aligned with the Company goals, mission, vision, and strategies.
The HR Generalist will work with the management team to ensure that systems and policies are in place to effectively support the operations of the Company To be successful as the HR Generalist, applicants should demonstrate a sound understanding and proven application of human resources management functions and processes.
The HR Generalist must clearly communicate and create accountability for upholding Company policies, plans, processes, systems, and strategies at all levels of the organization.
Additionally, the HR Generalist will coach and mentor employees, as well as foster a high-performing team.
Applicants must have 3-5 years of experience in a human resources role, with exceptional interpersonal skills and a proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships and rapport with all members of the staff.
Additionally, applicants should have proven process improvement skills, as well as experience developing and implementing new systems and policies.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate success in decision-making, problem-solving skills, and making sound judgement calls.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources or SHRM certification (PHR or SPHR) At least 18 years of age 3-5 years of human resources experience In-depth knowledge and experience of human resources practices and functions Good understanding of labor legislation and law, including MIOSHA requirements Effective communication skills, both written and oral Effective presentation of information Ability to respond and problem-solve with coworkers, crews, and clients through application of superior interpersonal skills and decision-making ability Great attitude, character, integrity, and work ethic Careful attention to detail and accuracy Strong customer orientation and ability to effectively adapt and respond Technology proficiency, including Office Suite Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) Preferred Skills & Credentials:
Relevant industry experience Lean management experience and/or training Knowledge of the industry's legal rules and guidelines Working knowledge of data analytics Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, or SHRM certification (PHR or SPHR) HR Generalist Primary
Responsibilities:
Recruiting new team members Onboarding and orientation of new hires Team member retention and development Formulate and communicate employee career development plans, job descriptions, and Organization Chart Continuously improve hiring, onboarding and orientation procedures Process bi-weekly payroll Benefit and 401k management Assist with the organization of team-building and staff development activities Assist management team on planning team meetings; plan and organize team parties and events Oversee employee recognition program; Assist with implementing incentives that increase staff morale and productivity Partner with Marketing Specialist to oversee employee recognition, rewards, and bonus programs Collaborate with management team to implement training and development programs Develop and continuously improve HR policies and practices Review and update Employee Handbook as needed Review and update policies and procedures Promote inclusion in the workplace and reinforce the Company's position as an equal opportunity employer Provide coaching and mentoring to members of the staff; foster a success-orientated, accountable environment within the organization Provide constructive and timely feedback to management and crew members, as necessary Assist with the evaluation of overall performance by analyzing and interpreting data; set performance metrics Ensure that the Company runs with legality and complies with all relevant regulations and laws Other duties as assigned See HR Generalist Task List for a complete list of tasks/duties.
