As overseers of electricity, Interior Electricians are valuable to the operations of the Army National Guard.
They're the Soldiers who light the way for their crews by installing and repairing wire systems in offices, repair shops, airplane hangars, and other buildings.
As an Interior Electrician, you will install and wire electrical hardware like transformers, junction boxes, service panels, electrical boxes, switches, and circuit breakers.
This requires the knowledge of trade tools and the ability to read blueprints and wiring plans.
You will also ensure the safety of electrical work and systems using test meters.

After 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you will learn fundamental Soldiering skills, you will attend seven weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT) where you'll learn what you need to get started as an Army National Guard Interior Electrician.
As your skills increase, so will your responsibilities.
Advanced Interior Electricians take on more challenging projects, including training and supervising other Soldiers, as well as coordinating, supervising, and planning of electrical layout.
