ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
oBachelor s degree in communications, business, or related area.
oAt least three (3) years experience in fundraising, sales, marketing, or related field.
oExcellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
oAbility and willingness to make presentations to community groups.
oProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, e-mail and other computer systems.
oDemonstrated ability to work in fast-paced environment with deadlines.
oWillingness to meet with donors in home environment.
oComfortable working with donors and asking for gifts.
ORGANIZATION
This position reports to the President of Munson Healthcare Regional Foundation (MHRF).Works directly with the CEO of Mercy Grayling Hospital.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
1.Supports the mission statement of Munson Healthcare Regional Foundation to inspire charitable support to enhance health care for the people in northern Michigan.
2.Implements annual giving plan to raise money for Mercy Grayling Hospital and thank community members, employees, and volunteers.
and visits donors to cultivate, secure, and steward major and/or planned gifts.
4.Write compelling proposals, case statements, and articles to assist in fundraising efforts.
private tours, small in-home gatherings, and stewardship activities highlighting the services of Mercy Grayling hospital.
as staff liaison for various external groups organizing special events to benefit Mercy Grayling Hospital programs.Ensures that event guidelines are met and external groups are recognized for their efforts.
7.Prepares reports on contacts and fundraising efforts.
8.Makes presentations to community groups about the work of Mercy Grayling Hospital.
9.Performs other projects as assigned.
