Cone Drive Operations, Inc., an industry leader in motion control and industrial gearing solutions, is currently looking for a Sales Engineer dedicated to promoting and growing our slew drive business along with our global partners. This position is located in Traverse City, Michigan.
As a Sales Engineer, you will have a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering (experience with bearings, design or application preferred), and have a minimum of 3 years proven sales experience.
Key
Responsibilities:
Sell products requiring extensive technical expertise and support for installation and use
Research, identify, and contact potential customers
Effectively communicate Cone Drive capabilities to customers
Interact regularly with Cone Drive team to ensure customer needs are met
Negotiate and close sales
Provide after-sales support services
Document account activities, generate reports, and keep records of business transactions with customers
Travel to customer sites in support of sales initiatives
Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other events
Successful candidates will also:
possess strong interpersonal skills
be self motivated
possess strong selling and sales aptitude
possess strong technical aptitude
be customer driven
capable of multi-tasking
possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
able to meet tight deadlines and follow up on commitments
be exceptionally detail oriented
be proficient with computer skills
be a US person due to the nature of our business
