Cone Drive Operations, Inc., an industry leader in motion control and industrial gearing solutions, is currently looking for a Sales Engineer responsible for driving sales for our solar business. This position is located in Traverse City, Michigan.
As a Sales Engineer, you will have a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 3-5 years experience in an engineering role.
Key
Responsibilities:
Apply knowledge of technical experience in gear drive solutions to identify and develop opportunities for market growth in North America
Use technical knowledge with sales skills to search for new clients and maximize customer potential in designated regions
Interact regularly with other members of the sales team and colleagues to ensure customer and Cone Drive needs are met
Manage and interpret customer requirements
Calculate client quotations
Negotiate proposals and contract terms
Negotiate and close sales
Provide after-sales support services
Prepare and present reports for management review
Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
Travel to customer sites globally in support of sales initiatives
Successful candidates will also:
be highly detail oriented
possess strong verbal and written communication skills
be capable of independent problem solving
possess strong technical aptitude
be proficient with computer skills
be a US person due to the nature of our business
