Vehicle Description 1972 Dodge Charger Rallye, 255 h.
p.
400 magnum engine, Auto trans, numbers matching.
Previous owner and his mechanic did much restoration work.
He said engine appears to have never been out of car.
Depress accelerator to set choke, tap pedal to take off fast idle, always starts easy.
Transmission shifts excellent.
Reported to have 3:
73 gears, gets surprisingly good mileage for that ratio.
Open rear end.
Original Tawny Gold color, had a very nice repaint at some point.
Has 1971 charger R/T, super bee stripe, and magnum 500 wheels, otherwise appears as was built.
I think it came from the factory with 14 inch road wheels.
Has 2 broadcast sheets and original window sticker.
New Legendary seat covers that have lifetime warranty.
Dash was perfect when I got the car, recently developed hairline crack exactly in the middle, rats.
One of the most enjoyable cars to drive I have owned.
Goes down the road so nicely, wife says very comfortable.
Everything works except the clock.
Uses no oil.
No Power steering to leak.
Very nice driver, looks good enough to take anywhere.
Gets lots of compliments.

Update, while going through documentation, I saw on a title from 1985 an odometer reading of 106000 miles.
Wow.
If this is true, the engine must have been rebuilt some time along the way, because of how good it runs with no oil usage or oil smoke.
Also forgot to mention a go wing and front chin spoiler, plus new aluminum Weld wheels go with the car.
Car can be seen with these items on it at Southern Motors , sold vehicles.
Other photos of the car as it is now can be seen at 72 Charger in Erie, and at Tawny Gold 400 Magnum Charger Rallye in GA.
